The school, our story, our approach.

When was FCLC founded?
First Crayons Learning Center was founded in 1998 by Teresa "Ma'am Tess" Exmundo and Avegale Chua. We've been a nurturing school community in Antipolo City for nearly three decades.
Where is FCLC located?
We're at B2 LA-H Bayugo-Buliran Rd., Brgy. San Luis, Antipolo City. Open in Google Maps.
What grade levels do you offer?
Pre-K 1 (3-year-olds), Pre-K 2 (4-year-olds), Kindergarten (must be 5 by October 31), and Grades 1 through 6. Both face-to-face and homeschool options are available for all grade levels.
How big are your classes?
We keep each class at 15 to 20 students. This is by design. Smaller classes mean every child gets attention, every name is known, and no one falls behind unnoticed.
What curriculum do you follow?
Traditional, DepEd-aligned and enriched. This means we meet all Department of Education standards and add our own enrichment on top, especially in character formation, Filipino values, and Christian character development.
Is FCLC DepEd-recognized?
Yes. FCLC is a DepEd-recognized school. Our students receive official report cards and can transfer cleanly to any DepEd school at the end of the school year.

Face-to-Face, Homeschool, and more.

What's the difference between your face-to-face and homeschool programs?
Both follow the same DepEd-aligned, enriched curriculum. Face-to-face classes happen in our school with our teachers, 7 AM to 4 PM. Homeschooling is delivered at home by the parent or tutor, with FCLC providing the curriculum, learning plans, exams, and regular check-ins. The homeschool option gives you more flexibility to adjust pace and approach to your child.
What's the difference between the Basic and Flex homeschool plans?
Both give your child access to FCLC's curriculum, official exams, quarterly grade reports, and a dedicated homeschool coordinator. Basic is for parents who want our curriculum structure but prefer to plan and source daily teaching materials themselves. Flex adds detailed weekly lesson plans plus supplementary worksheets, homework, and activity sheets, for parents who want more day-to-day support.
Can my child switch between face-to-face and homeschool?
Yes. We accommodate transfers between programs when family circumstances change. The simplest path is to switch at the start of a new quarter so your child's grades and records carry over cleanly.
What extracurriculars do you offer?
We offer Taekwondo and Piano as after-school programs, plus face-to-face tutorial services for students who need extra support or want to get ahead. Some of these are open to non-FCLC students too.
Do you have a summer program?
Yes. Each summer we offer Intro to School Setup (ages 3 to 5), Learning Enhancement (all ages), Taekwondo, and Piano. See our Programs page for the latest schedule.
What are your school hours?
Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM. The school year runs from mid-June to mid-March.

How to enroll your child.

When does enrollment open?
Enrollment for the next school year opens as early as January. Early bird discounts are available for families who secure their slots early.
What's the enrollment process?
Five simple steps: (1) Inquiry, (2) Pre-Enrollment Form, (3) Interview & Assessment, (4) Submission of Requirements, (5) Downpayment to secure your child's slot. See the full breakdown on our Admissions page.
Do you offer a waitlist?
We don't currently maintain a formal waitlist. Slots fill on a first-come, first-served basis, which is why we encourage early enrollment.
Can we visit the school before enrolling?
Yes, we encourage it. Contact us to schedule a visit. You'll get to see the classrooms, meet our teachers, and feel the community first-hand.
Do you accept late enrollment?
We accept new students up to the third quarter of the school year, based on availability.
When can my child enter Kindergarten?
Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by October 31 of the school year they enroll. If your child turns 5 after October 31, they can enroll in Pre-K 2 and move up to Kindergarten the following year.

Do you offer scholarships or financial aid?

Are there additional fees besides tuition?
Tuition already covers miscellaneous and standard school fees. Other costs may apply for books, uniforms, field trips, school activities, and extracurriculars. We'll walk you through everything during enrollment so there are no surprises.

Life at FCLC.

Are classrooms air-conditioned?
Yes. All our classrooms are air-conditioned to keep students comfortable and focused.
Do you provide meals or snacks?
Students bring their own meals and snacks. We can share guidance on lunchbox planning during the school year.
How do parents communicate with teachers?
Directly. Parents can reach our admin and teachers easily. No layers of bureaucracy between you and your child's education.
Do you have uniforms?
Yes. We'll provide the details and ordering instructions during enrollment.
How does FCLC handle character formation?
Christian and Filipino values are built into every day, not taught as a separate subject. We aim to raise learners who lead with kindness, faith, and integrity.
